864 Households Applied For HDB Loan Deferments From April To August 2020: MND
The Housing and Development Board has taken care of almost 25 hundreds households on their HDB mortgage settlements from April to Aug 2020, disclosed the Ministry of National Development in Parliament on 14 Oct 20.
Of these, 864 homes decided to delay their instalment expenses, the other 277 decreased their home loan pay outs.
Ministry of National Development came up with the report in respond to Member of the Parliament Ng Ling Ling, that questioned on the number of appeal for delay of Housing and Development Board property loan settlement were gone through by HDB from the beginning of the CB time span as well as the proportion of the authorized demands.
“Housing and Development Board presents one-to-one financing counselling to homeowners asking for assistance with their Housing and Development Board home mortgage monthly payments to have knowledge of their needs, and also pick out relevant measures to aid them,” reported MND.
It recorded that the support procedures are composed of supporting owners to delay or lower mortgage expenses or even extend their house loan term subject certain age limits.
“As the personal economic guidance is alternative, we do not have data on the number of residentials that requested particularly to delay their credit fees,” it explained.
